I discover more beery gems in the month of November than any other time of the year. This is because I select beers for a bespoke Christmas advent for my friend (and he’s worth it 😉) so I pride myself on the level of detail and effort I put in to curating the beer selection. I found this brewery offering a discount on their web-launch so it was a no-brainer… order one can of each and split them between the beer advent and my own personal beer selection 👌 It’s not often new beer hits the mark from the off, and admittedly I know nothing about this Edinburgh based brewery, but this beer is totally on point, true to style and what every imperial stout drinker looks for. Chocolate and coffee in the mix more than anything else but sweet honey, liquorice and even cherries make an appearance. There’s a slight dryness to it too which is why I think I drank it so fast 🫠
