750ml green glass, cork and cage; pours a slight hazy, light to medium straw, petillant, gentle white foam when pouring, disappears quickly; on the nose rich and ripe fruit, oodles of juicy notes hinting at ripe pears and apples, wet orchard floor and autumnal notes which reminds of wet leaves, lush wet grass and ripe fruits, lemony fresh acidity runs through the whole aroma, whilst hinting at soft minerality; in the mouth gentle sparkle carries flavour from initial sweetness to zippy acidity in the finish, notes of pear, apple and lemon balance with a satisfying fresh mustiness that I find rather attractive in a French poiré (and cidre for that matter); overall a beautifully balanced satisfying light bodied perry, with a lingering sweet and tart aftertaste – super refreshing and easy drinking!
