Two (?) years ago, Dutch departement store HEMA started a colab with Dutch brewery Lowlander. That must have been a success, because after at least another Lowlander beer there are (at least) two new beers. All of them are a bit gimmicky. This one is by Hoop. A brown beer with a big beige head. The label is a bit ambiguous about the beer tasting of pepernoten or of kruidnoten, two Dutch holiday treats that often get confused. The aroma and taste, confirm the name of the beer is right, it tastes of pepernoten, comparable to ginger bread. It is nice. The added lactose give a nice mouth feel.
