Smooth, crisp and refreshing were the words to describe this beer on the bottle. I should contact the ASA as it was anything but this!! It’s a fine drink, but nothing too special.

Really tasty beer in Laos. Nice and hoppy, smaller bottle and pricier but enjoyed this

Social situation. Beer enjoyed straight from the bottle, what else? The scent is mild malty and faintly cerealy. Quite restrained overall. Malt, distant rice – but not rice crispies –, and oppressed hops feature on the tongue. Faintly cerealy, as well. The mouthfeel is somewhat thin, modestly adjuncted, still balanced and refreshing but characterless. Disappointment although I had no big expectations. Just a note: the beer is named after the city of Luang Prabang. The city used to be the capital of the Kingdom of Luang Prabang in 1707–1946. Luang Prabang is a UNESCO World Heritage site, known especially for its medley of Lao and French colonial architecture as well as Laotian Buddhist culture.
