Bright citrus and very hoppy on the nose, reeks of Citra just as it should. Pale and hazy, also as it should be. Head disappeared almost immediately.
Very hoppy on the tongue too, not overly citrusy perhaps because of the use of cyro. This brew uses whole leaf, Cyro, spectrum and pellets, all of which are Citra of course. I'd prefer 100% whole leaf or a mix with pellets, and I think this brew proves my bias is justified. It's lacking flavour beyond simple hop, I mean it does taste strongly Citra but lacking it's fruit. It's not bad but it's not what it could be.
On the positive side, it's an easy entry to super saturated single hop Citra. You can gulp it down without the tongue dancing with resin. Saying that, this brew does have a medium finish which compliments it's light tangy mouthfeel and light to medium body.
A subdued celebration of Citra and quite the hop it is. Arundel took a more efficient and variant path using different forms of the hop and it's made for a nice and easy going yet hoppy brew.
