Beer #3 of the four-pack of Raudonų Plytų Alaus Dirbtuvės. This beer is adventurous: beetroot carrot IPA. 🙄 The beer wears a misty gown whose tint is like watermelon juice. Looks interesting, of course the beetroot plays its role there. Carbonation is subdued but manages to squeeze a one-finger head on the surface. Gradually, it contracts to a thin haze only. The scent is beautifully fruity and not at all vegetal. I spot mango, pineapple, lemon and grapefruit. All zesty. The palate offers lemon, grapefruit and raw pineapple but loses the sweet tropical mango. Pity. Nevertheless, I find additional tiny nuances of redcurrant and strawberry that bring modest sweetness to the cocktail. However, what I don't identify here are the main players of beetroot and carrot. Their amounts must be quite moderate. I could imagine that if there was a bigger injection of beetroot, the color of the beer would be deep purple. The body is light-medium. The finish narrows down to citrus only and even that is relatively blurred. The end is hasty. The mouthfeel is light-medium, smooth, marginally crisp, a bit dry and drying. It's also slightly lip-glueing. Easy drinking but not exactly as innovative as I anticipated first. Two more shots of devils. 👹
