Having the second beer of the night via Duo with the son-in-law on National Beer Day. Another Texas beer, 903 Brewers. Always dangerous with them and this one's a gose. Aroma has a strong sweet smell. I think I've smelled this with 903 before. I hope not. Has some berry qualities also. First sip gives that same overpowering sweetness. Tasty berries gives this some hope, both raspberry and blueberry present. The expected tartness from a gose follows through the finish. Three sips and I'm done with this. The sweet smell on the aroma and an overpowering sweet flavor is the same artificial flavor that has plagued 903 Brewers forever. Why they continue to brew beers with this sweetener is something I don't understand.
