Starting Friday with a beer from my travels and it’s a smoked wheat lager from Sweden’s Narke. Heard great things about their stouts so hoping for good things. Sadly the brewery was closed when I passed so I had to rely on picking this up from one of the state-run off-licenses which were pretty decent. Prices were reasonable… Anyway, liquified grilled sausage. Can’t fault it. It’s crisper, cleaner and slightly drier than the Schlenkerla offerings so would appeal to more people I believe. Less marmitey but still that classing smoked malt lager. Drinks easily and defies the 6,3% unlike some bocks and marzëns which feel very heavy and strong at that ABV. Good start to the weekend, happy Friday 👍
