A solid malt backbone accompanied with a fruity and sticky dry-hopped Mosaic overlay.

Had a friend bring me this Imperial IPA from Hattiesburg Mississippi. Very thick and frothy head. Has an orange tint to it. Deep orange color that is opaque hazy. Aroma is citrusy leaning towards tangerine. Texture is medium to somewhat thin. Has a mild hops bitterness up front. It then becomes very sweet, a natural citrus type sweet, not sugary. Flavor is of blood orange with the finish giving it that pity orange peel characteristic. Level of bitterness increases late in the finish.
For an imperial IPA I found this at its best at the beginning. Mildness of bitterness and the blood orange flavor was something I enjoyed. The increase of the bitterness in the finish wasn't my favorite. Still it's a overall refreshing beer.
