A couple of small beers before the theater show begins. Impenetrable, mango-juice-colored beer with restrained carbonation builds a white velvety head that grows one finger tall. The foamy crown shrinks fast to a thin lace ring. Citrus in the fragrance. Grapefruit especially, zesty and slightly pithy. Belgian yeast in a small quantity. Resinous hops complete the pack. The taste offers what it promises: a Belgian characterful pinch with a piney hoppy slam. Grapefruit is intense. Zesty. Loads of wheat malt and a tad yeast that is not exceptionally Belgiany though. The body is light-medium. The finish is otherwise identical to upfront but the piney sphere grows moderately toward the end. I'm scared I'm not who the aftertaste's prepared to wait for, but if I turn my back on my fears to help it face its fears, will it return the favour? The mouthfeel is medium, pithy, dry and drying. Crisp, too. A bit piney and leans towards stuffiness. A difficult beerstyle as it combines basically "incompatible" parameters of a Belgian beer and a crisp IPA. Well, I need more practice. 👍🏻

Samea vaalea olut. Kevyt vaahto. Tuoksu on hivenen makea ja maltainen. Maku on hyvin belgimäinen, hiven hiivaisuutta ja aavistus makeutta mukana. Loppumaku on pitkä, hiivaisen makeahko.
