Dank.

Last time I had a single hop Nelson Sauvin brew I was left thinking it requires a pairing with a different hop. That was a Polly's brew this time I'm giving it another ago via Cloudwater, maybe it'll be different.. Proper deep amber colour on this beer and very opaque, though carbonation is visible and a head that disperses after a minute or two. Very heady aroma of gooseberry and vague dank tropics, it smells very rich and big and at 7% ABV it is a big boy falling just shy of a DIPA. Notable carbonation in the mouth and soft, full bodied and a medium to long finish. Just like on the nose this brew is very intense on the tongue, oh so many hops must have been used on this brew! Dank gooseberry galore, I still maintain that Nelson is better served as part of a blend but this time I'm finding it more palatable. The savoury element is there, just as with Polly's Nelson, but it's less of an focal point here. It is nice but still an acquired taste compared to single hop Citra or Mosaic or Simcoe. If you like dankness give it a go. And you can't deny the unique and unmistakable taste of Nelson Sauvin. It's big and powerful, thick and juicy, and quality as per.

No nyt on kyllä kivaa mehua lasissa 🍺 Viiltävän kuivaa makumaailmaa Nelsonin tahtiin täräytettynä. Dänkkisyyttä ja kuivaa humalaa. Hieman jopa hop burnin kaltaista kutittelua. Hyvin on saatu makua ja fiilistä yhdellä humalalla. Jatkoon 🍻
