Morimoto Soba Ale
5.0% Wheat Beer / Wheat Ale
Soba noodles hand pulled by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto slapped with proprietary Rogue farm hops, yeast, and malts! Can it get better than that? If it's poured by Maria Ozawa then F. yeah! This awesome collaboration pours a hazy light amber tone with an off white head. Buckwheat, bamboo woody notes, yeasty. Some smoked nori sea salt nose. Nutty. All covered in a grassy hop boquet. Light, crisp, slightly watery texture but has a full bodied flavor profile. You can absolutely taste the soba mingled with a perfect amount of hoppy bitterness. Subsides with a sweet "noodly-malt" note. Well balanced ale, you can definitely enjoy both worlds. The fresh hoppy character of Rogue brews with the generous flavour of soba noodles are accentuated without overpowering each other. Dozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu Morimoto-san to Rogue Brewing Co.!

This is nice. Has a nutty caramel/toffee malt taste that is is not overly sweet with some wheat to it. Add a touch of citrus, mainly orange, with a medium grassy hop taste. Overall a nice beer that has a nice combination to it.
