Opaque, matte black beer with rather shy carbonation stirs a beige, rising head that builds up to two fingers from the bottom like a volcano. Retention is short-lived as the foamy lid dwindles soon to a gossamer lace ring.
The scent slams supersweet pastry nuances like milk chocolate, cacao nibs, vanilla and lactose. Like vanilla chocolate ice cream. A pinch of apple jam seasons the medley.
The flavors contain attractive fruity Bourbon, surrounded by floats of milk chocolate, cacao nibs, a good amount of vanilla and lactose. A spoonful of mushy apple jam should be added to the list. The grainy segment is composed oat biscuit and cereal. As if a smaller injection of honey could also be spotted behind the bigger elements. Very ice-creamy or milkshakey.
The body is light-medium to medium. Substandard at 10 %, given there's even lactose boosting up the body. The finish flattens significantly to a narrower delivery that includes cacao nibs, a bit of caramel malt, cereal and oat flakes. Not bad but it looks like the most appealing flavors are absent in the end. The aftertaste's bad ass has always a thing for sweets.
The mouthfeel is light-medium, desserty, creamy, lip-glueing, soft and smooth. Does the job, like a #summerbeer22.
