Having another shared beer on my first night in Texas. Me my son-in-law and daughter are having a Oklahoma oatmeal Stout. They, already being Texacans, aren't sure about an Oklahoma brew. Looks like a dark brown ale. Aroma of malt and light chocolate. Thin texture. Flavor is of a cola combined with a very roasted malt. Earthy. Very dry on the finish. Not bad but not special either.

Having my last foreign (not from Texas) beer before the SOTS Reunion that starts tomorrow. Not much head, faint chocolate aroma. I expected it to be a lot softer for an oatmeal stout. Crisp and a bit sharp. A dark bitter raw cocoa bringing a dry finish. Not my favorite.
