2022 Christmas Advent Beer 19. Strong and sticky with big body and lots of plummy jam flavours. Liquorice is there but doesn’t stand out, instead it mixes well with the red wine barrel characteristics to give a plummy jam flavour. Last of my advent beers for now and going out on a good one!

I was really worried about this stout. I don’t particularly like stout and I hate with a passion liquorice… however this was a lovely unusual tasting stout. Fabulous from beginning to end a lovely drop of ale.
