Smooth dark lager brewed in New Orleans and at 5.5% it is well worth the treat.

I wasn't thrilled with the Aldi Advent Calendar Beers so I built two each of my own to share with my son-in-law on Duo. This is number two on Ray's Alternate Advent Beers.
Extremely deep red clear color. Moderately high tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malt. Fantastic. Light and crisp texture. Dark malt flavor, roasted, has some earthy characteristics. It brings a sweet savory caramel backbone towards the middle. Super smooth transition into the finish adding a touch of char and saltiness.
This beer is so drinkable. When I write a beer I seldom ever do it along with food. From the second swallow this beer made me wish I had a big juicy burger to share with it. If I were from New Orleans this would probably become my go-to beer.
