Solidarity beer #5. πΊπ¦ The beerstyle is a Grape Ale which, like I've said before, is a very rare phenomenon in my portfolio. Now one more sample to the list.
The beer colors brilliant gold. Extraordinarily long-lived carbonation measures average but gives birth to a creamy, off-white head that exceeds one finger and sustains long on the top. The bubble chains keep ascending from the bottom. Resembles actually sparking wine a bit at this stage.
White grape and its skin emit their subtle nuances in the air. A whisper of apple and extremely distant wheat flour are also detectable.
The taste is fruity. I can also imagine something vinous in the palate. Delicate and gentle. What I spot here include white grape, a bit of sour apple and ripe green gooseberry. The wheaty illusion mesmerizes in the shadows, it's rather moderate, and I can't even say whether this beer contains wheat or not. I sense it though. Overall, the palate is exceptionally gentle and smooth.
The body is light. I don't know what a more robust bodied Grape Ale would taste and feel like but the ABV should definitely merit a thicker body. Does such a creature exist, is then another story. The finish doesn't really differ from the earlier gustatory experience, the slight sourness continues.
The mouthfeel is light, effervescent, summery and gardeny. It's also subtle, gentle, smooth despite effervescence, faintness vinous as well as refreshing. Like a beerlover's sparkling wine.
