Vintage 2020. Turbid, garnet beer with oppressed carbonation displays a small-bubbled head that elevates up to half a finger. Retention evaporates hastily and leaves a hair-thin lace ring hovering on the surface.
The scent combines blackberry and raspberry and obviously also boysenberry into one juicy cocktail. The olfactory identity is not as sour as I expect but definitely not sweet either.
The taste profile is deeply sour and a bit acidic: blackberry dominates over raspberry. Their combined effect is like sour boysenberry. Additionally, I get modest blueberry, hefty wheat malt and a yeasty idea.
The body is light. The finish pushes the berry-rich palette forward and offers an acidic sensation for the tastebuds for a longer period.
The mouthfeel is light, tart, puckering, acidic, juicy and rich in berries. I would certainly welcome more complexity, now this offers basically no layers at all.
