White Stout. An interesting beerstyle as it doesn't resemble Stouts much but shares the same flavor profile.
This sample pours wellnigh misty, deep rusty brown. Timid carbonation unleashes a creamy head that finds itself at the height of two fingers. Retention is relatively long as a dense lace ring kisses the glass tightly.
The scent is like Starbucks's white choco latte: white chocolate, cream, coffee and more sugar than your doctor would ever recommend. Very sinful!
I'm afraid that the taste will guarantee me diabetes... But no. It's not that supersweet as I anticipated. Coffee steps forward determinedly like the toughest boy in the class. The wannabe-hangarounds include cacao nibs, a bit of raw chocolate, lactose and a drop of cream. The taste identity is simultaneously sweet, albeit manageably so, and also modestly bitter like raw coffee beans.
The body is medium. Coffee twists more bitter in the finish as it dominates the experience. The mouthfeel is also smooth, medium-full and reasonably desserty, even remotely lip-glueing, but not sappy at all.

Jokin vaalea stout yllätti aiemmin erityisen kuivalla maullaan.
