Queen Of Puddings 5.3%, Cold Town Beer, Scotland

Queen Of Puddings
5.3% Scottish Ale
This one is so meringue, it’s right. Inspired by watching Dizzee Rascal struggle through making the namesake dessert in GBBO, we were inspired to whip up our own beer rendition of this classic dessert. Raspberry gives us the raspberry jam flavour, and oats lactose and vanilla combine together to give a full mouthfeel and custardy character.

Can-330ml. Nice. Quite a refreshing beer, with a definite strawberry/raspberry jammie flavour, and though noticeable, it’s not off putting. A good summer beer. This was the first time drank and it was in July 2023.

Raspberry jam aroma and flavour. Obviously sweet tasting and also quite sickly. Tasted once unlikely to be repeated.

Haven't had many beers this month due to lack of beer tokens (pounds) just got this little bad boy from Lidl pretty decent beer. it pours a darkish amber, it's fruitiness is more prominent in the smell than the taste but I'm honestly just glad to be having a beer 😅

Definitely a raspberry jam type taste but a little more bitterness than I expected.
