A cherry Sour Ale to start the Midsummer festive season. Sahti, of course, is the king or queen of the Midsummer but it will have its show later. Now the cherry.. Pours misty ruby. Looks attractive. Subdued carbonation produces an off-white, airy head that remains below one finger. Retention is, nevertheless, long and a thin lace ring and haze waft on the top. No splashes can be depicted. The scent gives first strawberry mash. It's unmistakable. My bet is that the beer contains lactose, the sweet-leaning hint signals it. (The label doesn't contain the full ingredient details but it's accessible with the QR code. Having opened the website, I'm told that the beer contains no lactose. Astonishing. I was wrong.) Cherry is detectable a bit later but it's not sour like I expect but sweet. All in all, somewhat winegummy. Wheat malt lies on the supportive side. Cherry is the primary and sole berry on the tongue. And it is sour. No trace of strawberry, or lactose. Ok, maybe a bit of cranberry can also be observed. And wheat malt, of course, but not in abundance. The body is light. The finish is identical to the actual taste. Cherry in sour form. The aftertaste sips beer with its Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity members for a good while. The mouthfeel is light, tart, puckering, acidic and juicy. It's berry-rich and summery but also simple and straightforward. Good thirst quencher for sure.

Kuohkea 1 sormen paksuinen vaalean punainen vaahto kuultavassa punertavassa, virkistävässä ja poreilevassa oluessa. Raikas kwasi kirsikka sour olut, alussa kieltä nipistää mutta hennosti sieltä kirsikka hiipii ja maistuukin sitten. Varsin onnistunut tuote. Marjamainen ja raikas.

Hmmm, joku vähän tökkii. Hapanta kirsikkaa on, mutta en saanut mitään kiksejä tästä.

Aluksi jopa mansikkainen maku, joka lopulta taantuu melko pisteliääksi. Hyvin, hyvin hapanta.
