Drop Anchor is a pale ale with a base of Vienna malt, this higher-kilned malt gives the beer a fuller body with a bready and toasted character. A dry-hop combination of Citra and El Dorado bring an onslaught of tropical fruit to make for an insanely juicy and crushable beer.

This is a superb beer from a superb brewery. Everything they produce is a winner as far as I'm concerned. Well made, by people who clearly have a wealth of knowledge and a passion for brewing that you can taste in every drop, anchor or anything else!

Another beaut from the Powder Monkey Brewing Co. in Gosport. This is just was it says it is on the can, a massive mouthful of flavour that is really big-bodied with no heaviness though. Must be some sort of sourcery! There is a veritable explosion of juicy, citrussy goodness in this pale - so much in fact, that I'm counting this as one of my five a day. So, just four more tins and that's me for the day!
