I need a break from the Spanish lager, so a German made, Spanish IPA is just the ticket. A very nice and sincere looking bottle, pours well to give light brown body with an orange/yellow hue around the edges. Also comes with one finger of off white foamy head that retained quite well. Aromas of pine resin and sweet biscuity maltup front. Dried fruits with some mixed spices and sweet mango follow. Mouthfeel is medium bodied but a weighty medium. It's also very foamy, little or nothing in the way of bite or carbonation. Taste is a nice shake up of the scent. A little citrus kick at first which guides into the sweet mango, this is followed by candied orange peel and the dried fruits with cinnamon, nutmeg and some star anise before the pine rolls in for the finish. A great budget IPA with lots of spice that could be served cold in the summer or at room temperature in the winter.
