Näftinsormenleveydenverran luonnonvaaleaa vaahtoa hieman utuisen punaruskean valoaläpipäästävän semiläpinäkyvän oluen yllä joka tuoksuu makean vaniljaisen maltaiselle ja maistuu makean vaniljaisen maltaiselle, kolme ja vartti ylöspäin. PE: 12.2023.

Jaettu tölkki. Ihan kiva, kermainen ja vaniljaisen makea barleywine, perusvarmaa tekemistä.

Yllättävän kevytrunkoista ohraviiniä täydentää hienosti lisätty vanilja.

Today is a sad day for Europe. And most of the world actually. I believed that a "very stable genius" meant only one thing. I was wrong. It has multiple meanings. I'm speechless and shocked. 😢🇺🇦💙💛🕊️☮️
Anyway, a couple quick ones @ Pien. The first beer colors translucent, deep copper-garnet. Carbonation is almost absent and, hence, merely a hair-thin head pops up on the top for a second.
The scent is superattractive: Calvados, pear, vanilla, a small injection of raisin, perhaps even a suggestion of fresh fig. Lovely, unique elements.
The taste is mature, round and fruity. Alcohol is absolutely hidden despite 12 %. What a treat! ♥️💜♥️ Calvados is my first idea when I sip the nectar of gods. Apple and pear are both present. Vanilla seasons the cocktail beautifully. Not too overwhelming, nor shy. I start finding also other flavors, such as strawberry, marshmallow, raisin and fig. I repeat: unique.
The body is medium-full. It could be bigger but, on the other hand, it makes the whole delicacy very easily swallowable. No heaviness at all. Is it a good thing or not? Well, it depends... Maybe if you're sitting by a fire, you could appreciate a thick heavy syrup. The weak(est) link is the finish that comes relatively fast with the flavor constellation still remaining unchanged.
The mouthfeel is round, smooth, even velvety and mature. It's desserty, lip-glueing and slow. Not exactly like barrel aged but still carried even such characteristics. Extraordinarily balanced, decently layered and beautifully elegant. Good stuff!
