Anchor Steam Beer has been one of my favourite beers since my first visit to San Francisco in 1994 and the Merry Christmas Happy New Year Special Ale has been on my Christmas list ever since. Its unique as it is a different recipie and a different label design every year. This is the king of Christmas beers, strong at 7% but very drinkable with a perfect blend of spice and sweetness - just like a typical English Christmas pudding.
