GREY’S VIEW
Imperial Stout aged for 8-months in freshly emptied Ancient Fitzgerald Bourbon Barrels.
Ok. Should be good one.
Taste is almost overwhelming at first. It’s sweet with sticky caramel fudge, light maple syrup and molasses. The oak, dry sauna wood, vanilla and leafy being rises slowly to front. It’s something. Mouthfeel is in the lighter side, being medium-, sticky and easy to consume. Carbonation is soft and a bit hidden. Aftertaste is tasty AF! Being sweet molassy, dry woody, pure mineral, light and almost refreshing. Funny too, yeah.
PS. The Old Gitzferald is slow as any old timer! Give pleanty of time to it to arrive, you’ll be rewarded for the wait! 🎩👴🏼👍🏼
OTHER NOTES:
Did expect more Barrel notes, but the taste is gorgeous anyway. Purely sweet w/ vanilla, caramel fudge and dry sauna wood. Easy to enjoy. Bottle size is way too big, classic 11.15oz (0.33l) bottle size would work perfectly (leaving enough room to wanting more).
