BEER: Dark Horizon 7 BREWERY: Nøgne Ø BEER STYLE: Imperial Stout COUNTRY: Norway ABV.: 16.0 COLOUR (EBC): Dark Reddish Brown (80.0) BITTERS (EBU/IBU): 100.0 AROMA: - HEAD: Dark and tight. Mmmnice. GREY’S VIEW First sip brings deeply roasted dark malts, some ancient Irish seashore feel, unsugared and pitch black liqorice with maybe petals from one, single, Red Rose. It’s rough, but I like it. It has dark romantic soul to it. Mouthfeel is steady with creaminess, lush with all and giving lot room to taste. Feels damn precise and as a downfall, even a bit too calculated. Aftertaste has burnt, charred sauna wood, bit of them cleanest of ash, beautifully clean sea shory stones and still variety of malts. OTHER NOTES: Solid work from Nøgne Ø. It’s plenty enough and rough on the being. RIS elements are there. I like them. I Wish I’d have the BA version of this. Might be a great piece.
