Chocolate you say? In lager you say? What could possibly go wrong? A sure fire way to test if you have Covid19, neck this and then can't taste the bile ranging back up through your clacker valve, best to self isolate. Whoever dreamt this grim concoction up must be still wearing a kipper tie and sporting a mullet. Thought I'd have a night off the homebrew with this, but I'm struggling to finish the bottle and it's only a 330ml. Still that's the kids stocking fillers sorted for Xmas.

The label describes the chocolate taste as unexpected and complimentary-nah I’d say unwanted and uncomplimentary If you can remember the scratch & sniff stickers that had drawings of food and ‘smelt’ like that food, well this taste reminds me of the chocolate one and that was rubbish Either have a bottle of lager or a bar of chocolate just not this

Unusual but surprisingly nice. A good balance between the sweetness of the chocolate and bitterness of the hops

Unusual is the best way to describe this. It’s a lovely golden colour with a properly chocolate aroma. It’s got a good light lager with a subtle chocolate flavour. It shouldn’t work but it does.

Sweet chocolate aromas give way to a clean and palatable ale. Slightly malty it ends with a sweet chocolate kick that strangely works. Everything points towards this not working, but it does, and very well...
