When I saw chocolate and orange on the label I had to get it. Pour was lifeless and very disappointing, leaving a jet black body with less than trace elements of chocolate coloured head. The scent is typical stout notes, roasted malts, lots of chocolate and coffee. There is the tiny aroma of generic citrus but nothing to explicitly identify as orange. Mouthfeel is significant, this is not just an attempt at a pastry stout. It goes down quite smooth without any real heat to speak off. Taste is disappointing too, it's just a generic imperial stout profile. Chocolate, coffee and a dry ashen aftertaste. An acceptable beer but not really what was promised.
