Belgian strong golden ales are deceptive brews, hence names that are often references to the devil. Originally brewed to counter balance the flood of pale ales in Europe after WWII, we believe this is the right beer to share the board with summer ales. Our strong golden is brewed with NY grown pilsen malt and Willamette hops combined with Belgian malts and Czech saaz hops. The body and color are very light to allow the light fruit and spice flavors generated by Trappist yeast to tease.
