I think I'm the first to review this, it must be a rare find.
From the very heavy bottle it pours smooth leaving a hazy, amber body with a light brown hue. There was some off white foam in the initial pour though it dissipated quickly and left only trace amounts.
Scent is classic dipa funk, lots of malt, caramel, brown sugar, some yeast. Then tropical fruit roles in, honeydew melon, mango and pineapple, with the obligatory pine resin.
Mouthfeel is light on both carbonation and foam, is overall soft at first, then a bitter warmth rolls over the mouth and leaves a dry feeling with bitter aftertaste.
Taste is not dissimilar to Scent, dry, deep malts upfront, yeast and brown sugar mostly, then the fruit rides in, soft and sweet, tropical and funky. All complimented perfectly by the intensity of the warmth and 7.5%
Not reinventing the wheel but a very robust dipa.
