Vuoden kolmas olunen ja abv. nousee jo melko hulppeisiin lukemiin. Funky fluid tarjoaa siirappia, mustikkamuffinssia, piparitaikinaa, lievää kanelista klangia ja tahmean tarttuvaa meininkiä tällä jäätislatulla moukarilla. Eipä siinä, ei tässä alkoholi pääse päälle liikaa puskemaan, vaan melko helpollakin päästään näille volteille.

Pint Please review #1000. Big beer for the big moment. The strongest and probably the rarest commercial beer I've ever had. The batch size was 150 bottles so about 50 liters of this nectar has ever been made. New beer in Pint Please. 0,33l bottle from aroma glass. Accompanied by self made bilberry, maple syrup and cinnamon muffins. Dark brown and oily looking beer with generous brown foam that disappears surprisingly fast. Very, very intense boozy scent. Notes of blueberry jam and cinnamon linger on the background. Faint note of maple syrup and chocolate ice cream. Carbonation is low, almost still. Mouthfeel is very thick and oily. A litte bit juicy too. The taste isn't as boozy as the scent. Starts with very sweet blueberry mash with dark chocolate and coffee. The blueberry is very fresh and real tasting, just like freshly made juice. Sweet chocolate ice cream and condensed milk. Brown sugar and fudge. Some dark malts and roasted barley can be found but they are flattened under the sweet blueberry. Notes of caramel, brown sugar and maple syrup come forward more as the beer warms up. Cinnamon is pretty subtle. Some boozy sensation, but the 17% is frighteningly well hidden. Overall taste is very sweet and lip glueing. Ends with blueberry liquor and sweet maple syrup. Definitely gives what it promises. Very distinct blueberry taste with notes of maple syrup and cinnamon. But this isn't nearly as intense as I was expecting. Ice distilled imperial stout with massive ABV but the taste is not that different from its sub 12% counterparts. Delicious for sure, but fails to blow my socks off. Slow sipping pastry delicacy and frighteningly devious. A perfect 1k beer. 😌 Now that I've reached the 1k reviews, I shall change the way I use this app. I've recently had a lot of situations where I don't want to open a new beer, because I'm not sure if I have the time to write a review. Especially now when it is ok to meet people, I don't want to be the one staring at the phone all evening. I've been writing these reviews in the same form for the past 2-3 years (serving size and glass, looks, scent, taste and summary) and now I feel that I need to relax a bit. There will be more short reviews and reviews in Finnish too. But when a special brew is found, I will give it the words it deserves. Thanks a thousand for the company and cheers for the beers to come!🍻
