Driving across Montana and stopping at Big Sky Brewing in Missoula Montana. Famous local brewery. Had to try this seasonal ale that has such a unusual appearance. Very little head but the color is a rose amber and very light, totally clear. No effervescence that I can see. To look at it, I would swear it was a rosé wine. The sweet fruity smell of the huckleberries is at the forefront. Soft, very sweet, fruity huckleberries dominate the flavor. Mild but very tasty. Same flavor through the finish with no bitterness. Finish is quick. This is more of a fruit beer. Could almost have it as a breakfast juice. Huckleberry flavor was excellent. Very unusual and absolutely delicious.
