This famous German style is stronger than an everyday lager and is the fuel for Oktoberfest celebrations all over the world. The original, pre-industrial Oktoberfest was called Märzenbier, brewed at the end of the brewing season in the spring to be lagered in caves all summer for fall and harvest festivities. Our brew's full-bodied flavor is yielded from its NYS Pale, Munich, and Pilsner Malt bill, while its subdued German hop bitterness comes from the pounds of Perle, Hallertauer, and Tettnang Hops added in the boil. Although the name is synonymous with fall festivals, this brew's bitterness and complex malty profile often make it a year-round favorite.
