Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #6 Canned on 4-2-2021 Sweet aroma with bourbon and sweet malts showing up first, followed by caramel and toffee. Taste has marshmallow, caramel, bourbon and toffee in that order. Subtle oak notes come through late in the finish. The body is full with a decently smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation. This one is aging beautifully. I feel like this is better than the last time I had it 2 years ago, and hopefully that keeps going. There's just so much going on flavor-wise in this and age seems to just add to the complexity and balance. 4.75/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #10 Canned 4-2-2021 Bourbon, light toffee and caramel in the aroma. Taste has toffee and marshmallow first, followed by caramel. While I got some bourbon in the aroma, I'm not getting much in the taste. It's mostly residing in the aftertaste. Sweeter than I remember it being, but not in a bad way. The body is medium-full, bordering on full bodied, with a very smooth mouthfeel and an appropriately low amount of carbonation. I'll have to look back at my initial review of this to see how I felt about it when I first had it, but this has aged beautifully. Hopefully it keeps getting better. Solid 4.5/5

Backlog from May 30th Bourbon and semisweet malts in the aroma. Taste has flavorful bourbon and a nice sweetness from the malts. Caramel and marshmallow notes follow, and add a bit of sweetness to cut the 13% abv even further. Full body with lower carbonation. Solid 4.5/5
