Brewed exclusively for Mitchells and Butlers as part of a one hop showcase of new hops to the UK. Calypso is a powerful American hop with hints of apples and pairs. Usually brewers use bittering hops and aroma hops. But it is more than possible to use one for both – you just have to use more if it’s low alpha (acidity level basically) and loads if it’s of a high alpha content. Crisp refreshing summer brew.
