The previous beer was so heavy that I crave now for something light and refreshing. An Imperial Chipotle Stout is my choice. [...] What do you mean, it's not light or refreshing? It's lighter, at least, than the previous beer. The ABV is not more than 8.3 %. Refreshing? We'll see. Solidarity beer #7 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Murky, medium-black beer with reserved carbonation creates a tiny-bubbled, fawn head that grows two fingers tall. Retention keeps the lace ring alive on the surface for long. Roasted malt and burned wood are the two primary elements that I pick in the scent. Maybe also licorice and a silent sigh of raw cacao powder. I anticipate some form of chili but it's absent at least in the scent. But โ€” hell, yeah! โ€” chili kicks on the tongue big time! It's a bit smoked, well, like chipotle is. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, lactose and vanilla accompany the warming chili slam nicely. Brown sugar and a hint of syrup season the cocktail. Beautiful package for chiliheads! ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹ The body is medium-full. Not more than that but I guess it's sufficient for this strength. The finish is chocolatey, warming as it contains a good load of capsaicin, and sweet because of lactose. Generally speaking, an appealing piece! The mouthfeel is intense, medium-full, spicy and warming. It's soft, smooth, desserty and exotic. Not particularly elegant but deep and attractive. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ–ค
