Het Weerzien 4.9%, Hertog Jan (A-B InBev), Netherlands

Het Weerzien
4.9% Kölsch
Hertog Jan Het Weerzien is a Kölsch beer. A top fermenting and unfiltered blond beer with 4.9% ABV. Brewed with a small amount of wheat malt which makes the beer full bodied and full of aromas. Het Weerzien is fresh and easy to drink. The special Kölsch yeast produces light touches of hop and a very fruity aftertaste. Het Weerzien is a special one time brew to celebrate the reopening of Dutch hotels, bars and restaurants in April 2021, after the 2nd lockdown during the COVID-pandemic.

To be honest, the story behind this beer is better than the beer. Hertog Jan sold this beer in their webshop and the revenue was used to donate this beer to bars and restaurants for after lockdown. The beer itself is like a Weizen. It is crisp, but lacking aroma and taste.
