Picked up this Fort Worth Texas beer to enjoy with my son-in-law on Duo. Enjoyed this almost a year ago, will rerate it tonight. Seems heavy on the pour. Small head that's disappearing while it enters the glass. Aroma brings forth a dark fruit, raisin best describes it. Add some sweet deep malt with notes of coffee. Color of a dark cola ruby-brown, clear but very dark. Texture is indeed heavy but not syrupy. Powerful flavor has strong bittersweet deep roasted malt and very dark coffee. No raisin. Finish simply continues these characteristics while the bitterness continues beyond that. This is not a complicated or complex beer. Very simple, bittersweet roasted malt and strong dark coffee. Found no other flavors influencing the palate. I have really enjoyed this coffee beer.

Having another stout at Whiskey River Ranch with my niece. This one from Fort Worth Texas, Panther Island Brewing. Very faint coffee aroma. Heavy and thick texture. Boozy, can tell it's 10.5%. Strong bittersweet chocolate with hints of roasted coffee. Finish has extra bitterness but is balanced with the overall flavors.
