An American Red Ale influenced by multiple beer styles. Intense citrus and stone fruits dominate the nose (or beak if we're staying with the duck theme), yet the bitterness from the hops is balanced by Belgian and American crystal malts. It smells like an IPA exploding with fancy American hops but has a smooth, malty-but-not-too-malty finish.
Gangster Duck is named after the 1983 art/hip hop classic "Beat Bop". The collaboration featured New York artists Jean-Michel Basquiat (the Radiant Child), Rammellzee and K-Rob. When asked to describe his nasal, abstract rhyme style Rammellzee called it "The Gangster Duck".
Making the name a homage to creating your own style.

First pass was a can of foam even with a correct pour… not that exceptional even after a little settle, I’ve got four of them so let’s see if that is isolated but that should not happen…. Huge red ale fan, so I’m hopeful for some positive regression from this great brewery….
