Opaque, black beer with somewhat demure carbonation produces a tawny, tiny-bubbled head that spreads onto the surface up to half a finger's measure. Brief retention pulls the foamy layer to zero. Loads of cacao nibs and dark chocolate emanate first to the nostrils. Further down the road, I'm picking chili powder as if airborne capsaicin, a bit of cherry, cranberry and some tonka whose vanilla side doesn't want to play bold. The taste knows its value: copious cacao nibs and dark chocolate as well as cherry praline dance provocatively for my tastebuds. Chili throws ample capsaicin on every nook of the mouth. Tonka is also obvious as I get a good amount of vanilla and a hint of cinnamon. The body is appealingly full. Chili leaves a nice warming sensation on the lips for a long time. Dark chocolate and cacao nibs remain easily identifiable while the rest of the flavors fade out relatively fast. The aftertaste treats itself, loves itself, caresses itself but doesn′t blame itself. The mouthfeel is full, deep, adjuncted, desserty. and lip-glueing. It's, moreover, spicy, piquant and warming as well as soft and smooth. Does what the name promises.
