We took this copper colored dopplebock lager up to 8.5%! This is a beer with rich malt character that showcases caramel flavors with some toasty notes as well as a hint of some dried fruit. This is a great beer for enjoying on a chilly evening as it will warm you as you drink it.

With family in Pearland Texas visiting a new Brewery for me, Bakfish Brewing. Nice facility, lots of customers and a very friendly staff. Third beer on the second flight.
Came in a small flight snifter glass so I got no head response, only a mild earthy malt aroma. Clear ruby red color, absolutely beautiful. Soft and creamy texture. Loads of caramel malt with zero bitterness. Earthly roasted caramel malt. Moves into the finish dominated by a strong amber and caramel flavor. Very smooth, not much carbonation and very drinkable.
Having this on tap at the brewery was significantly different than when I had it in a can. Not near as heavy of alcohol, much creamier, and much better.

Made it to Houston in one piece, barely. Son-in-law has a Pearland Texas beer sitting on the table ready to go. Perfect ending to a long drive.
Frothy tan head. Beautiful deep orange red clear color. First impression is alcohol. Strong alcohol. They lied, 8.4% is way underrated. This is much closer to 11%. Flavor is malty with a little sweet raisin. Has some bitterness on the finish which is brief. But the alcohol is very prominent. Every sip punches me on the nose so no great rating.
