One of my favourite brewers meets one of my least favourite beer styles. This is good though if there’s one thing you can say about Duration they make a good fist of anything. This is deep dark stout at its best. Great caramel and chocolate flavours and a lovely warming finish. If I liked stout this would be a five star.

Gutted. Straight up imperial stout, my arse! All you can taste is fucking Belgium! If I wanted Belgium I’d have bought a quadrupel... No matter what grist you’re use for an imperial stout, if you then use a Belgian yeast strain it’s going to have the spicy banana and clove flavoured esters coming through. Disappointed as I’ve watched this brewery’s ride from nothing over the last year and have been eager to try one of their beers. I’ll try one of their IPAs next time 😕
