Fuzzy, apricot orange beer with subdued carbonation produces a mere creamy lace ring that quickly shrinks thinner but decorates the sides for long.
The nose finds green grape, yellow sultana, lactic acid and wheat malt. I can also identify a faint note of fresh apricot, maybe it's an illusion caused by the color that gives my brains such a suggestion.
Green, or rather yellow, grape is an evident ingredient here. It's distinctly less tannic than darker purple grape varieties. I can also pick yellow sultana, mashed apricot, wheat malt, barrel notes and lactic acid.
The body is light-medium to medium. Apricot intensifies in the end but the general undertone is still grapey.
Feels juicy, mashy, tart, puckering and acidic. Even a bit astringent. It's also barrel aged, mature, light-medium, fairly simple and straightforward.
Well, most À Tue-Tête! beers have been excellent, this doesn't make an exception in that line. The only handicap is the moderate level of deepness and lack of layers. Therefore, not exactly the brewery's top level but a very solid package in any case.
