Having with my son-in-law in Houston Texas. An expensive limited release brew at 11 percent.
Pours a very dark opaque brown. Not much head. Very little aroma for a 11% beer. Texture is a little heavy. Taste is mild, earthy oak. Not much of the alcohol. Second sip beings more flavor, stronger. Some spice, probably the chilies. Third sip has a blast of alcohol at the finish. Where did that come from?? Fourth sip adds strong chocolate to the finish. Fifth sip has maple or molasses.
This is the craziest beer I have ever had. My son-in-law agrees that I'm not totally crazy. Came in a two-pack box, not cheap. Second beer is going to my beer celler and try again in a couple of years. Most complex flavors I've ever experienced.
