Dies in sehr ausgewogenem Verhältnis.

After sauna beer. Rauchdoppelbock sounds like a good choice. The beer displays lucid brown. Introvert carbonation creates a light beige head that falls short of one finger. Short retention numbs the foamy lid soon to zero. The nose enjoys smoke, cured ham, a tad caramel and a proposal of bitter syrup. The smoky touch is somewhat sweet and a bit overwhelming. The tastebuds like copious malt with an appealing smoky slam, slightly bitter caramel, rye dough and a smaller injection of biscuit. Interestingly, the cured ham impression doesn't channel onto the tongue. The hoppy segment is moderate in intensity and a bit husky dry grassy. Alcohol is at the edge of falling off the cliff. The body is medium. The finish is caramelly malty, rye doughy and faintly biscuity but markedly less smoky. The aftertaste feels dizzy, like being in smoke for a while The mouthfeel is medium-strong, intensive, intriguingly smoky, savory and moderately husky. Classical old-school stuff! Quite intriguing, works nicely as a nightcap but would most likely work substantially better as a meal accompaniment, probably fatty fish, game or deep roasted veggies.

It pours a dark reddish brown with a cream coloured head. Aroma is malty with a hint of smoke. Flavour is of brown sugar with a smokey finish.
