Day #23 of Advent Calendar. The beer pours extraordinarily deep dark brown. Bold carbonation puts forward a fawn moussy head that wants to break free from the secular borders of the glass. My godly sip saves it from overpouring. Retention is really long. The dense head caps the top for astonishingly long. The scent is blunt as hell. I can merely find distant roasted malt, otherwise the olfactory provision is like a zombie. While the fragrance almost ruins the experience, the taste saves a lot from squalor. I'm lucky to pick vanilla, sugared almond, a good amount of milk chocolate, cacao nibs and lactose. Nice! The body is medium. The finish is semisweet and portrays the same components as upfront: chocolatey with a bit of almond and lactose. When the aftertaste hears voices and sees furniture moving, it knows that it's not alone... The mouthfeel is medium-full, soft, velvety, smooth and desserty. It's also balanced and truly easy. The weak scent, however, reduces my rating.
