Impenetrable, brilliant black beer with subdued carbonation lays a chestnut-brown, moussy head that falls short of one finger. Retention is brief as the withdrawing foamy cap dwindles hastily out of sight. The nose finds moderate cacao nibs, dark chocolate and a silent sigh of vanilla. Astonishingly oppressed, almost like a disappointment. 🧐 I'm reserved. Can it improve from here? A small step forward is not enough, I want a giant leap! Oh yeah!! The tastebuds are pleased by colossal dark chocolate and loads of cacao nibs, seasoned with modest vanilla and a coarse woody touch. As if slightly roasted. All in all, very deep but fairly simple. The body is full. Dark chocolate, cacao and vanilla don't find any new direction but continue as before. Substantially remote alcohol can also be identified. The aftertaste becomes bewitched by Calakmul for some time. The mouthfeel is full, strong, deep, nicely warning and remotely woody. It's also relatively lip-glueing, moderately roasty, thick and chewy.
