Christmas Advent Beer 2020 Day 24 I normally shirk at a pastry stout and run the other way in disgust at the sugary synthetic beer that will inevitably greet me. With a personally curated advent of beers I don’t have that choice and have to meet every beer head on. This beer is excellent. Layers of complexity and a thick, chewy, oily mouthfeel make this beer what it is. Warm cinnamon notes and hints of heavy treacle give the quintessence of a winter based imperial stout. Heading to bed happy in the knowledge I drank well on Christmas Eve 2020
