This is the second beer in the Clown Shoes 12 Beers of Christmas. Third year to Duo this collection. This Brew was in both of the previous packs and both ratings were entirely different. Curious as to how this one works. Nice frothy head, deep reddish copper color. Lightly hazy. Aroma is sweet with traces of clover. Texture is super soft, almost fluffy and light. Flavor has a light Amber malt characteristic with mild amounts of clove blending in. Has some lemon surfacing in the middle. Flows effortlessly into the finish where the clove recedes, notes of wheat bread, and the malt turns gently roasted. No banana flavor and no bitterness from first to last. After reading my first two reviews I can't believe this is the same beer. Clown Shoes does not say this is the 2022 version which would lead me to believe that they tweak the recipe and change the flavor. Not just me, Ryan had the same results. Anyway, I really like this beer. May be my favorite Belgian Style. This Clown Shoes Brewery is definitely on my bucket list.

Rated this last year. Going to compare my rating to today's pallet. Frothy orange head, doesn't last. Hazy reddish orange color. Overpowering clove finally allows some cinnamon to to break through. Finish has dry dark fruit. Not enjoying this. Going to leave the 3.2 and move on to another beer that I might enjoy.

This is the 9th beer in the Clown Shoes "The 12 Beers of Christmas" collection. Took the photo late so it doesn't show that it had a moderately high head which was very orange. Color was slightly hazy and reddish-orange. Aroma was a bit sour and more like a gose. Mouthfeel is light and soft. Flavor strarts as a strong coriander with a hint of lemon in the background then blends into a fruity prune. A small amount of alcohol breaks through before a brief finish that is both dry with a tart dark fruit, possibly dates. A unique blend of flavors, interesting but not one of my favorites. Enjoyed the uniqueness but this will be a one and done for me.
